The local fire marshal has shut down the SNM arena the dungeon after pressure from the council mounted after last weeks show which exceeded capacity.  The staff of SNM is making corrections to their attendance policy and are fighting city hall to reopen their arena.

According to insiders we have learned that many members of the roster are getting frustrated after losing air fare flying in to Texas only to be turned around unpaid.  Many names have resigned but the SNM staff is said to be in good spirits ready to bring in new talent.

More to come...

Stardom and Mayhem does it again! Show number two is in the books and boy was it a big one. New talents emerged with the introductions of Omarr Starr, Frank Dylan James, and Christian Maddox and at least one SNM mainstay left the arena with a career threatening injury!

The Dungeon was primed and the party in the Beer Garden started hours before the show kicked off ensuring one crazy night for SNM in it's second official show. See the in-ring debuts of Mayhem's Kroenen, Shawn FX, and Darth Varga as well as Stardom's James Davis and Omarr Starr. Don't forget about the stacked main event, Hamilton Bentley and 'Big Tex' spent the night scrambling for partners but how did it turn out in the end?

10/14/08 -The Wrestling Post

SNM survives its first week open with a decent internet audience, and a sold out crowd at the Dungeon in Austin, Texas.  The night saw Duke Williams and Neil Fracas duel to a draw in a fan favorite intense G-man challenge; where a competitor must win by pin fall, 10 count, and submission.   A brutal flying head butt by Fracas square on Williams’s forehead sent Duke to the hospital for a fractured skull.

Fracas has challenged Duke to a New York style bar fight match this week at Exposure.  Doctors are advising the “Malice Man” to take the month off and recover, but Duke has a history of ignoring the doctor’s orders.  Nobody is certain if Duke will show up or not, but the match has been booked. Also announced on the card this week is Kroenen versus James Davis along with Shawn FX versus Kaijabo Shinryu, and Omar Starr versus Darth Varga.

“Big Tex” Farrell was also taken to the hospital after a post match attack by members of the Mayhem team.  Many felt as if Hamilton Bentley was behind the attacks as the massive sized Malik Roland sneaked attack the giant Farrell from behind in mid song celebration.  Farrell was released Sunday morning with a cracked rib and general soreness and is expected to be on this weeks show.

The SNM office is reporting that the council has decided to up the stakes and raise the two thousand dollar team pot to a weekly pot of five thousand dollars after great ticket and alcohol sales. The company is doing this retroactively so the pot from last weeks team tie is rolling over at the five thousand dollar price instead of the advertised two thousand.  This week the ten thousand dollars will go to the team with the most wins at the end of this weeks show

Also a sad note from the SNM offices, it seems as if the company has failed to obtain the proper documentations for a working visa for Kaijanbo Shinryu.  He is booked for the show this coming Monday Night but it will most likely be his last.  A rumor is also floating around that a hard core legend could be signed this week to the Stardom roster.

10/2/08 - Pro Wrestling Weekly

A few stars were seen around Austin this week as SNM moves closer to its opening. The World Champion "Big Tex" Farrell had a work out in front of the local press today. Many were not impressed, as they felt the champ was looking a little slow. With major names on the roster like Blayze Alexander, Kaijinbo Shinryu, Kroenen, Hamilton Bentley, Neil Fracas, and the recently signed Malik Roland many are starting to wonder how long "Tex" will be champion. Also with the first show just over a week away many eyes are on the city of Austin to see if SNM can kick it off, and kick it off right.

09/25/09 - Pro Wrestling Today

James " Big Tex" Farrell has agreed to terms to return to the Austin Wrestling Association under its new management and new name S&M(Stardom & Mayhem).  No word as to how long the giant will remain with the organization as rumors of retirement are still swirling.  What is known is he will retain his World Title which he has held for over 15 years. Many question the talent level he has faced in Austin and with the new owners bringing in bigger named talent many feel this will be the first real test of the Texas giant. Another major announcement out of S&M is they will air a free web show next Saturday October, 4th 2008 where they will also announce their bi-weekly show.  More to come.

09/22/08 - Pro Wrestling Weekly

With Stardom & Mayhem just a week or so from kicking off on the net the wrestling world is abuzz with the announcement that one of the three announcers will be PCW Hall of Fame member Jon Kano.  Never a superstar Kano was one of those guys you just enjoyed when ever he was on the screen.  Quick wit and an enjoyable delivery S&M is really starting to look as though it may ROCK~!

09/18/08 - Pro Wrestling Weekly

Rumor is a small federation in Austin, Texas is looking to renew the wrestling world with a fresh product that will air over the Internet.  It's a new world and thought of a federation building a fan following outside of Texas with only the Internet as their exposure seems unlikely but yet possible.  Now word if local Texas legend " Big Tex" Farrell will join the organization or not.

My sources are telling me his return may not be such a big deal if the names of wrestlers rumored to sign with the organization are true or not.   PCW Hall of Fame member who retired to Austin a few years ago is rumored to have interest along with such names as El Diablo, long time Williams friend Jon Kano, Ken Kaze, and the long shot since he hasn't been seen in years Ivan Stanislaw.

Many young talents have been seeking information in possibly joining up with the upstart federation with a storied past as the Austin Wrestling Association.  Who signs and who is just empty rumors is still up in the air.

09/15/08 - Austin Chronical

Austin Wrestling Association which has not run a show in over a year and was considered defunct has been sold to a local Austin Fraternity.  The plan to revive the federation under the name S&M, standing for Stardom and Mayhem is set to open sometime in September.  Now word on if the world champion and local Austin legend James "BIG TEX" Farrell will return or retire.  More to come in the next few weeks.
